All week long the students at Milford High School have been preparing for this weekend.  Each class has been busy building their float for the homecoming parade while student council has worked feverishly to transform the gym into a dance floor for Saturday.  Shawn Snyder, faculty advisor for student council, admits that the “students have taken on almost all of the responsibility this year.  They have done a great job of organizing and preparing for this weekend.”  The theme for Homecoming this year is “Just Dance”, inspired by the Lady Gaga song by that same name.  The gym has been decorated to reflect a scene straight out of the movie Saturday Night Fever.

The parade tonight will begin at 6pm at the middle school on Seabury Avenue and continue down Walnut St to the high school football stadium.  At 7pm the Milford Buccaneers (1-4-0) will kick off against the Caesar Rodney Riders (3-2-0) at Briggs Stadium.  Tickets will be sold at the door.  On Saturday night the Homecoming dance will take place in the high school gym from 7pm-11pm.  Tickets had to be bought in advance and will not be sold at the door.  The faculty at Milford High School asks that parents picking up their children from the dance be there promptly at 11pm.
