The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford Expo/Mixer is set for Thursday March 29th at the Milford Senior Center located at 111 Park Ave. in Milford. After hosting the event last year, Committee members Terri Favata and Donna Stalvey reviewed the vendor surveys and found a few good ideas to help improve the event, making it fun and rewarding to vendors and attendees.

This year vendors will be able to set-up their table(s) from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 4 to 5 p.m. they will have the opportunity to network with each other. Vendors mentioned on their survey that they never have time to meet other vendors at expos because they can’t leave their booth. They suggested offering at least an hour to network with other vendors, so they’ll be able to do that this year at our event.

At five o’clock the doors will open to chamber members and the general public, and the event will run until 7:00 p.m. The cost to be a vendor is only $25.00 and a door prize donation. Terri says keeping the vendor cost down will be an added incentive to vendors, as the cost to be a vendor at many other events is at least twice as much. The vendor fee includes a table and 2 chairs, however skirting is not provided. There are only 20 vendor tables available on a first-come, first-served basis, offered to chamber members first.

Last year vendor booths sold out very quickly, so make sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible by calling Terri or Donna at 422.8200. They can also be reached by calling Terri at 242.1782 or emailing terri@1stclassproperties.com or by calling Donna at 233.1520 or emailing donna@1stclassproperties.com.

In addition to meeting all the vendors and learning about their business, there will be non-alcoholic beverages provided by the Milford Senior Center, and a cash bar will be available if you’re interested in having a cocktail. Lite fare & catering information will be provided by Troop’s BBQ & Catering.

The event is free to attend, and guests will have an opportunity to enter to win a door prize at every vendor booth. As an attendee you can expect to visit vendors selling everything from candles to real estate, and offering services from accounting to landscaping.

This expo is a wonderful opportunity to meet business people in the community and to find out about all the services available right here in Milford. The Chamber of Commerce will join other vendors at the Expo, providing the latest edition of the Milford Quality Living Book, Milford Map, the 2012 Calendar of Events and a chance to talk with representatives about the many benefits the chamber offers. For more information about the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Milford, or to find out about other chamber mixers call 422.3344, or email milford@milfordchamber.com.
