On Tuesday, July 16 the Milford Police arrested and charged a 40yo Milford man stemming from an incident that occurred on the night of July 15, 2013 in the intersection of N. Washington St and NE Front St. Michael S. Carlisle was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2 counts), Vehicular Assault, Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, Criminal Mischief Under $1000 and Failure to Report an Accident.

Police state that investigation revealed that Carisle was operating a vehicle and was behind another vehicle, operated by the 27yo male victim, at the traffic light. Police state that, the traffic light was red and Carlisle used his vehicle to ram and then push the 27yo male victim’s vehicle into the intersection into traffic. The 27yo male victim managed to get his vehicle stopped and exited his vehicle to confront Carlisle. Carlisle then pulled his vehicle around the male victim’s vehicle and drove directly at the victim. The victim moved out of the way of Carlisle’s vehicle and as he did so Carlisle opened the driver’s side door to his vehicle using it to strike the male victim. Carlisle then fled the scene and also had a 5yo child and a 9yo child in his vehicle at the time of the incident.

Carlisle was later turned himself in to Milford Police after learning that he was identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The male victim suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Carlisle was arraigned and released on $2,450.00 unsecured bond.
