The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford, along with Corporate Sponsors Dentsply Caulk and i.g. Burton, are happy to announce several changes are in store for the Annual Smile for Freedom 5K Run/Walk. The Smile for Freedom Race, which has taken place downtown Milford for the last four years, and has kicked-off the Riverwalk “Freedom” Festival taking place on Thursday night. This year the race is taking place in just a few weeks, Saturday June 28th.

In addition to changing the date of the event, the time and location are also changing. This year’s registration opens at 8 am and the race starts at 9am, moving from downtown Milford to the Airport Road area at the Mispillion River Brewing Company located at 255 Mullet Run. This year the event will benefit the Milford High School Track Team, the Delaware Prostate Cancer Coalition and the Riverwalk “Freedom” Festival Fireworks Campaign.

Pre-Registration is only $20 and that includes an event shirt, goody bag and with proper ID a beer sampling. Individuals choosing to register the day of the event will pay a $25 registration fee. As usual this is a family event with opportunities for all ages to win an award, great prizes, enjoy food from Abbott’s Grill, run, walk, compete in a Corn-Hole Competition, socialize with family and friend, and if you’re of age enjoy some “Good Libations” from the Mispillion River Brewing Company.
