On the evening of April 13, 2015, the Milford Police responded to 5 Linstone Lane after receiving a report of an assault. According to police, investigation at the scene revealed that Joseph Merix, 52yo, of Milford, had gotten into a verbal dispute with the 67yo female victim. Merix began punching the female victim in the head and face numerous times while threatening to kill the female victim. The female victim suffered injuries to the head and face. Merix was taken into custody and charged with Assault 2nd Degree Physical Injury to a victim 62yo or older and Terroristic Threatening. Merix was later arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $6,000.00 secured bond.
