On May 2, 2015 the Milford Police responded to Brightway Commons Apartment Complex after receiving a report of a stabbing that just occurred. The suspect in the stabbing fled the scene prior to police arrival and the 20yo male victim was transported to Milford Bayhealth Hospital with multiple stab wounds to his lower extremities. While police were still at the scene, the suspect and a female arrived back at the scene. The suspect was identified as Markensy Mondestin, 23yo of Milford. Police state that investigation at the scene revealed that Mondestin and the male victim were involved in a verbal and physical altercation. During the altercation, Mondestin brandished a multi purpose bladed tool and began to stab the victim with it. Mondestin then fled the scene in a vehicle operated by a female, who was identified as Rosheda Gould, 36yo of Ellendale. According to police, when police took Mondestin into custody, Gould attempted to conceal the multi purpose bladed tool used in the incident. Gould failed to comply with officers orders and physically resisted officers as they attempted to retrieve the tool and take Gould into custody. Gould continued to struggle with officers and was tasered and then taken into custody. Mondestin was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Carrying a Concealed Dangerous Instrument. Gould was charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and Resisting Arrest. Modenstin was arraigned and released on $5,500.00 unsecured bond and Gould was arraigned and released on $1,500.00 unsecured bond. The male victim was treated for his injuries and later released.
