On 03/16/2019 at approximately 9:17 p.m., the Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to “Easy Speak” located at 586 Milford Harrington Hwy, for a PFA violation. Officers made contact with the reporting person, who advised that an Enriki Hartz, 40 of Houston, DE, had sent multiple text messages to the victim threatening to come to the victim’s residence with a firearm and harm the victim. The victim also advised that they had an active Protection from Abuse Order (PFA) with Hartz. Officers confirmed that there is a active PFA between the victim and Hartz and that this contact by Hartz was a violation of the order. Officers also learned that a child was involved in this incident as well. A warrant was obtained for Hartz reference to this investigation.

Officers with the Milford Police Department and the Delaware State Police responded to Hartz’s residence and took him into custody without incident. Hartz was charged with Criminal Contempt Of A Domestic Violence Protective Order, Terroristic Threatening, Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, and Harassment. Hartz had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court and was committed to the Department of Corrections on $3500.00 USC cash bail only with a no contact order with the victim. Hartz was ordered to appear in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date for a preliminary hearing.
