Cedar Creek Bait Shop Destroyed by Fire

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a structure fire that occurred on Monday, December 13, 2010 at approximately 3:14 AM on the 3000 block of Lighthouse Road in Slaughter Beach, Delaware.

 The Slaughter Beach Fire Department, assisted by the Carlisle, Houston and Ellendale Fire Departments, responded to the scene. Upon arrival they encountered heavy fire.

The Cedar Creek Bait and Tackle Shop and an adjacent dwelling were destroyed by the fire. Damages are estimated at approximately $200,000.

Delaware State Fire Marshal Investigators are still investigating the fire. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-TIP-3333 or the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office at 302-856-5600.
