KSI’s Aktion Club Donates to Kent County SPCA

Aktion Club members gathered around the Kent County SPCA Christmas tree with their donations. Pictured are: Josh Chaffinch, Julia Secrest, Tammy Bellemare, Joe Pryor, Stacy Lukens, Robin Drew, Jenna Santobianco, Amanda Smart, Leroy Hicks, Penny West, June Fluharty, and Diane Edwards.

KSI’s volunteer service group, the Aktion Club, supported by the Dover Kiwanis Club, adopted the Kent County SPCA as its charity to support. They recently took their donations to the Kent County facility and enjoyed a visit with the animals to be adopted. The Aktion Club delivered bags of newspapers, a box filled with toys, dog collars, and bedding, as well as a donation of $150.00.

In addition to supporting the Kent County SPCA, Aktion Club members also volunteer each month to read to the senior citizens attending the First State Senior Center.  Aktion Club members also partnered with members of the Milford Lions Club to assemble Christmas Food Baskets. Aktion Club members assembled boxes for families so the Lions Club members could make the deliveries.
