Milford Man Charged with Robbery, Possession of Firearm

On 1/1/11 at around 1200 am, the Milford Police responded to the area of NE 2nd St & N. Walnut St. after receiving a report of a strong arm robbery. Investigation revealed that the male victim was on foot when he was approached by another male subject, also on foot. The male subject then pulled out a rifle from underneath his coat, pointed it at the victim and told the victim to hand over all his money. The male subject obtained a total of $5.00 from the victim and then fled on foot. Officers later located the male subject near the 200 block of NE 4th St and took him into custody. He was later identified as Walter S. Ross, 35yo of Milford. Ross was charged with Robbery, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited and Aggravated Menacing. Ross was arraigned through JP7 and was committed to SCI in default of $10,000 secured bond.
