One Gift…One Child…One Future

On Friday, January 28, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. the Greater Milford Boys and Girls Club will hold a breakfast to kick-off their “One Campaign.” The Annual Fund “One Campaign” is a board driven effort during a defined period of time, to secure unrestricted operating funds from primarily individuals, but will also continue to target businesses and local government sources while demonstrating the impact of our organization’s mission. Chairmen of the campaign, Charlie Burton and Bill Strickland will be in attendance to launch the effort and its goal to raise $150,000 by June 30, 2011.

Every day, the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club provides services to more than 250 children in our local community. When schools are closed, they remain open. When children need a safe place to go, the Boys and Girls Club provides it.  When parents have to work two jobs to make ends meet, they care for their children and keep them off the streets, especially in the critical hours after school when most juvenile crimes are committed. Every day the Greater Milford Boys and Girls Club exists with one singular mission: to help children realize their full potential…to help children BE Great.

Gifts to the One Campaign provide ongoing operating support to a wide variety of education activities included but not limited to homework help, tutoring, mentoring, computer skills and expanded before and after school programs, fitness and health programs, arts programs and service and youth development programs.

The One Campaign is the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club’s major fundraiser. All funds raised through the One Campaign will be matched dollar for dollar by Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. 100% stays in our community.
