Stolen Vehicle Leads to Resisting Arrest

On 01/29/11 at approx 0330 hrs Milford Police observed a Backhoe being operated on the roadway in the area of Big Stone Beach Rd and New Wharf Rd. When Police attempted to stop the operator the subject refused to stop and led police on a short chase before the suspect fled on foot behind a farm North of New Wharf Rd. Police were able to identify the subject as Willard J. Millman III,25, also known as B.J. Millman of Milford. Millman was later located the following evening and taken into custody w/out incident. The Backhoe Millman was operating was found to be stolen from a construction company in Laurel, De. Millman was charged w/ Receiving stolen property over 1,500 dollars and resisting arrest. He was released on 3,000 unsecured bond pending a preliminary hearing .
