Delaware Hospice Holds “Bereavement Scrap Book” Workshop

Delaware Hospice’s Family Support Center will hold a “Bereavement Scrap Book” workshop on Saturday, March 12th, from 10-12:00 Noon, at the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.

An excellent activity for keeping good memories alive is to create a scrap book of your favorite, meaningful events shared with your loved one.   Often in grief, we can get stuck in re-living the last moments of one’s life – putting a microscope on the way someone died.  We want to encourage grievers to try to step back & see the relationship and the “full picture” from a telescopic view.  This Bereavement Scrap Book workshop will help bring all the years back into focus.

Participants should bring 10-20 photos of their loved one and other memorabilia that might be included in a scrap book arrangement.   Experienced scrap book enthusiast, Janis Markopoulos, will facilitate this workshop.

There is no fee for this Delaware Hospice community outreach program; however, registration is required as space is limited.  Register by contacting Vicki Costa, Associate Director of Family Support Services, 302-856-7717, x1129, or vcosta@delawarehospice.org.
