New Medical Walk-In Opens in Milford

Coastline Medical Walk-In Center held their ribbon cutting ceremony Friday, February 11. Doctors Greg Sender, Aaron Block and Peter Chung were there to welcome the community to their recently opened business.  Coastline Medical Walk-In provides medical treatment for non-life threatening illnesses or injuries. Patients should seek their aid when the family doctor is unavailable, not properly equipped for the situation, or when an emergency room may not be warranted.  Dr. Pando is the Supervising Physician for the new facility.

Coastline Medical Walk-In provides the community with a medical service that is more convenient for individuals where acute care is needed. They are open seven day a week and provide treatment for injuries such as sutures for cuts and lacerations, sports related injuries, skin infections, abscesses, coughs, colds, sinusitis, fractures, sprains, strains and workman’s comp.

The physicians who run Coastline Medical Walk-In admit that there are few options for individuals who need acute medical attention. There are two options: the emergency room and the family doctor.  “The average cost of an emergency room is around $350 per visit,” stated Dr. Chung. “And the wait can be hours.”  The Medical Walk-In facility is less expensive and the waiting period significantly lower.

Coastline Medical Walk-In works with most health insurance policies including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Coventry, workman’s compensation and self-pays and will continue to expand those relationships to reach the needs of the community.

Currently the Medical Walk-In facility is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9am to 4pm; Tuesday, Thursday from 5pm-8pm; Saturday, Sunday from 10am-3pm.  They are located at 907 N Dupont Blvd, Suite 102 Milford, DE and can be reached at 302.265.2893.  To find out more about Coastline Medical Walk-In online visit http://www.coastlinemedical.org.
