Spring Gets Closer with Start of Little League

The 2011 Milford Little League season is approaching with the season beginning April 15.  Registration has been held at the Milford Parks and Recreation Building but any child wishing to play ball can still call 302-422-7630. The participation cost is $80.00 for one player, $150.00 for two players and $190.00 for three or more players. 

Tryouts will be held on Saturday, March 5 and Saturday, March 12.  Rain dates are Sunday March 6 and Sunday, March 13. The following is a table of tryouts times for baseball and softball by age group:

14 year olds – 10:00a 14 year olds – 12:00p
15 year olds – 9:00a 15 year olds – 12:00p
16 year olds – 9:00a 16 year olds – 12:00p

 

Players that are new to the league or players that are eligible to move up
to the next league must attend tryouts.  Players must attend at least one
session to be placed in the draft.  If you know a player cannot make either
tryout date, you must notify the Player Agent Dana Gilmore, dana.gilmore@milford-littleleague.org,  in advance of the tryouts.

Opening Day ceremonies will commence Friday, April 15 with the annual
parade and Opening Day games immediately following.  All remaining games
and continuation of opening day, including Bar-B-Que Chicken will follow on
Saturday, April 16.
