Dancing with the Stars of Milford

 Staff Report

The Milford Senior Center will be hosting its 4th annual gala on March 12, 2011, in the Center’s Crystal Ballroom, from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.  This year’s fundraising event is Dancing with the Milford Stars. Borrowing the idea from the popular television show, members of the Milford community will be dancing with partners in order to raise funds for the Milford Senior Center. Bob Walls, former Delaware State Representative and current member of the MSC BOD and local businessman, takes to the dance floor with Taube Carpenter, Bob’s former campaign manager and community volunteer.

Mike Mignogno, President of the Milford Senior Center’s membership and member of the Board, enjoys a spin with Trish Rodriquez, statewide fundraiser for non-profit organizations.

Skip Pikus, longtime owner of Lou’s Bootery, City Councilman and community activist enjoys a turn with Leigh Minor, owner of Minor Bird, a recently opened  boutique in downtown Milford.

Kevin Redding, owner and chef of Abbott’s Grill in Milford, will twirl Laura Burton, who manages the Grill.

For this even the Milford Senior Center is predicting over 200 people in attendance.  “We expect to have a lot of fun and a lot of laughs. It is so nice to see community leaders and business owners help out the Milford Senior Center,” commented Karen Lloyd, Executive Director of MSC.
