The Lady Bucs softball team swung their way to victory taking down Padua, 13-7, Saturday April 2.  The pitching of Lindsey Siok and Janee Williams helped claim the win.

“After yesterday’s game, I feel really confident in our team,” said Siok, a sophomore pitcher and outfielder.  “We have a lot of potential.”

Kylie Nelson went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI, while Kate Richard, Brandi Paquette and Janee Williams each added 2 RBI. “Kylie Nelson and Kate Richard are standout freshmen,” said junior centerfielder Savannah Becker who added a double and triple. “Their bats are just dominating.”

Peyton Shockley and Courtney Demora each added two hits. “We played very well yesterday,” said Becker. “Everyone picked each other up and cheered for one another.”

With a record of 3-1, the Milford High varsity softball team still has work left to complete, according to Becker. “Season is going all right,” said Becker. “But we have a tough schedule coming up.”

“Our biggest competition is ourselves,” said Siok. “We just need to keep our head in the game. The standout performance was not one person. It was how we came together as a team and fought back.”
