Greater Tuna Performance
The Second Street Players of Milford will present the hilarious red-neck comedy Greater Tuna on April 29-May 8 at their Riverfront Theatre, 2 S. Walnut Street in Milford. The inhabitants of Tuna,Texas (the third smallest town in Texas) are all played by a handful of performers who change gender and age throughout the performance to bring to life this satire on rural life in America. The shows are on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 PM and Sunday matinees at 3 PM. Tickets are $17 with a $1 discount offered on the matinees for students, senior citizens, and military. 24TH Annual Variety Show on Tap
Milford Senior Center, 111 Park Avenue, Milfrod, DE, is hosting its 24th Annual Variety Show “Hollywood Stars Shine Again.” The show is directed by Clara Lafontaine. The dates are Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 1, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets for all three days are $8.00 per ticket and be used for any of the dates. Light refreshments will be sold all three shows for a small fee. Don’t miss out get your tickets right away, this is a must see production. The proceeds will benefit Milford Senior Center. Palate to Palette Reception
A treat to eat and see. Join the Mispillion Art League in a two-part celebration of local talent. Bring your spouse, friend, neighbor or mom downtown on the eve of Mother’s Day, Saturday, May 7, 2011. Start with a leisurely ride in a horse-drawn carriage around scenic Milford locations. After riding, step into the MAL Gallery to view the new Spring Members’ Show. While you are checking out local artists’ creativity, you’ll have the opportunity to sample gourmet tidbits provided by personnel from 10+ area restaurants. As you nibble the tasty treats prepared by local chefs, relax and take pleasure in the colors and scenes that surround you. If you’re on the lookout for a last minute Mother’s day gift, perhaps a piece of art to adorn a wall or table in her home would be just the right purchase.
