Man Leads Milford PD on High Speed Chase

On Monday, May 16 at approximately 11:07 pm Milford Police attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of N.E. Front St and the River Walk Plaza for a traffic violation. Upon police attempting to stop the vehicle the vehicle failed to stop and began fleeing from police. During the pursuit an 18 year old female passenger asked the driver later identified as Tremaine N. Glover,22, of Milton to stop so she could get out but the operator refused. The passenger then opened the passenger door and jumped from the vehicle while it was in motion. The passenger tumbled several times in the roadway before stopping and officers administered immediate first aid to her.

Glover continued fleeing from police and led police on a high speed pursuit through town and south on Rt 1 towards Milton. After leading police down several back roads Glover fled to his residence in Milton where he was taken into custody. Glover was charged w/ Reckless endangering 1st degree, Unlawful imprisonment 1st, Felony disregarding a police officer signal, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, aggressive driving, and other traffic related offenses. Glover was committed to S.C.C.I on 8,040 secured bond pending a preliminary hearing in Kent County Court Of Common Pleas. The female passenger was transported to Milford Hospital and treated and released w/ minor injuries.
