Bayhealth Expanding Pediatric Services

To address a growing need for pediatric services in central and southern Delaware, The Pediatric and Adolescent Center and Bayhealth Medical Center have recruited pediatrician Maria Childers, M.D., to join Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital.

“We are renewing our commitment to recruiting the most highly trained physicians with unique expertise in specialties that are underserved in our community,” said Bayhealth Vice President of Medical Affairs Eric J. Gloss, DO, MMM, FACOEP.

Dr. Childers has served as a pediatrician for 13 years. After earning her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey in 1998, she served a pediatric residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital at Cornell University. She has served as a pediatrician in Ohio and Pennsylvania, including service as Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Fluent in Spanish and English, Dr. Childers will be especially valuable in serving non-English speaking families in Kent and Sussex Counties. She will serve at the Pediatric and Adolescent Center in Milton, Delaware. To schedule an appointment, please call (302) 684-0561.
