State Reps. Jack Peterman and Harvey Kenton took time to pay their respects on June 16th as the National 9/11 Flag made a brief stop in Delaware at Dover’s Robbins Hose Company. The tattered remains of the flag were recovered from the wreckage of the World Trade Center following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. As the 10-year anniversary of the occasion nears, the flag is on a 50-state tour of America, with each state making its own repair to the banner. Once the restoration is complete, the flag will be on display at the National September 11 Memorial Museum that is planned for the World Trade Center site.
