From Cassie Scruggs

1st game Aug 5- New Jersey vs. Milford (home) 9-1 New Jersey winning
Combined pitching from Emily Messick & Jasmine Passwaters, Milford struggled at the plate some and with 8 of New Jerseys runs scoring off of errors, it made it hard to try to come back. It wasnt that New Jersey had big hitters, it was strictly errors that moved New Jersey’s runners around. Our 1 run was scored by Jasmine Passwaters.

2nd game (delayed game) Aug 5th- Rhode Island vs. Milford (home) 11-1 Milford winning
Ending in a slaughter after 5 innings, Haylee Scruggs pitched 4 innings only giving up 1 hit & they finished the last inning with Timicia Jarvis. Emily Messick had a triple with 2 RBIs & Kasey Fry had a double with 2 RBIs & Harley Rickards had a single that brought in Kasey Fry for the 10 run slaughter. All 4 of our pitchers are able to pitch tomorrow. All girls played very well the 2nd game. Milford plays Pennsylvania at 9:30am Saturday, Aug 6th. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 8:30am.
