Local Teen Hosts Community Events to Raise Money for Diabetes Research

Madi Dodge, 2011 National Youth Advocate for The American Diabetes Association (ADA), will be hosting a Community Pizza Night at Grottos Pizza in Milford on Monday, September 12th. It will be held from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Madi has been an active volunteer with ADA for the last 10 years, volunteering in the national Step Out Program and organizing many local fundraisers. She has coordinated a walk team called “Madi’s Prayer”, Skate for the Cure and Dance for Diabetes. She is also a forum moderator on Planet D, a support message board for children and teens on the Association’s website.

Participants who present the attached voucher will be donating an amount equal to 20% of their total bill to the American Diabetes Association through Madi’s team Madison’s Prayer. She will be present that night to give out information about diabetes and to sell ADA beanie animals as well.

Also, on Saturday, September 17 Madi will be holding a Flapjack breakfast fundraiser at the Applebees on DuPont Highway. If interested in tickets contact Madi by email at MadisonsPrayer@aol.com or go to Madison’s Prayer on Facebook and leave contact information.
