Hernandez Arrested on Terroristic Threatening Charges

Aggravated Menacing, Strangulation; Possession of a Firearm During The Commission of a Felony, Unlawful Imprisonment and Terroristic Threatening

On 9/17/11, The Milford Police Criminal Division arrested and charged a 54yo Milford man in connection with incidents (late reported) that occurred from 8/13/11 to 9/13/11 in a residence in Mispillion Apartments. Juan Colon Hernandez was charged with Aggravated Menacing, Strangulation; Possession of a Firearm During The Commission of a Felony, Unlawful Imprisonment and Terroristic Threatening. Detectives discovered that over a period of a month Hernandez was involved in multiple violent episodes with the female victim at their residence. Investigation revealed that on one occasion Hernandez attempted to strangle the victim with an extension cord and on another occasion held a gun to the victim’s head and threatened to kill her. Hernandez would also lock the victim in a room and refuse to allow her to leave the residence. Hernandez was arraigned through JP7 and was committed to SCI in default of $22,000 secured bond.
