Petch & Paula from Eagle 97.7

By Jo Schmeiser, Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford Executive Director

We are less than one month away for the 5th Annual Holiday Auction & Tastes of Milford and silent and live auction items are rolling in…literally.

i.g.Burton donated a child’s Mercedes-Benz Pedal Car. The value is over two-hundred dollars and is very cute. This pedal car would make a perfect holiday gift for your little one. All it’s missing is a bow. It will be one of the items featured in the live auction part of the event.

Other items that will be auctioned off live, by 5th Year Auctioneer Dave Wilson, are weekend getaways and certificates good for an opportunity to be a Host-DJ on the Eagle 97.7 Morning Show with Petch & Paula, and another opportunity to co-host the Cool 101.3 Morning Show with Dana McDonald.

Delmarva Broadcasting General Manager Mike Kazala says they don’t even sell packages to co-host either morning show, that you can’t put a price on the value of co-hosting a show with Petch & Paula or Dana. He says the exposure is phenomenal.
Some of the silent auction items include his and her designer sunglasses donated by Halpern Eye Care, gift cards from the Georgia House and LeLoLi Café & Espresso Bar,
High end apparel, beauty products, gifts for your pets and several gift baskets and gift cards from area businesses.

Make sure to check out the chamber facebook page, as live and silent auction items are being featured as they arrive, so you can plan now which items you want to place bids on.
The silent auction will begin as soon as the doors open at 6:00, along with the “Tastes of” part of the event and socializing.

So far Taste of Milford Veterans, The Georgia House, Abbott’s Grill and Mr. Bar-B-Que will be offering tasty treats along with newbies, Grotto’s, Nick & Charlie’s, Troops Catering and LeLoLi Café. Other restaurants and caterers are expected to join in the festivities. Check out facebook for those updates too.

The “Tastes of” vendor provide attendees with a wonderful opportunity to sample a variety of food prepared by local chefs, while learning about their business and what other menu items and services are available. These restaurants and caterers participate &/or host many chamber events and many other events for businesses and personal events.
The Holiday Auction and Tastes of Milford is Thursday November 17th, just one week before Thanksgiving, and a perfect time to start or finish your holiday shopping.
It is being held at the Shawnee Country Club from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

There will be plenty of food, items for auction and time to meet and mingle.
About three hundred people are expected to attend, so make sure to get your tickets before they’re gone. The cost is $20.00 per ticket and can be purchased by visiting, calling or emailing the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford.
