Milford Art Ramble

By Anne Jenkins

Art and Milford made headlines around the state and the nation in October … the Mispillion Art League was spotlighted by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) during their National Arts and Humanities Month. A large group of artists and art advocates from Milford represented the town, and were noticed, at the Arts Summit, hosted by the Delaware Division of the Arts held in Dover. A well-known maritime artist and writer, Annie Strack, visited Milford and was impressed by the arts community and the town. Now November beckons with more recognition and events.

An Artist Roster Focus Group has been organized by the DE Division of the Arts in Dover, two of a group of 10 invited Delaware artists are from Milford. Scott Angelucci of Angelucci Gallery and Anne Jenkins of Anne Jenkins Art Gallery will be waving the River Town, Art Town, Home Town flag.
