Milford Cruises Past Woodbridge

After an easy victory over Campus Community, the Bucs had much of the same success against visiting Woodbridge winning 6-0.

Looking more technically sound then they had all season, Milford communicated well and used a precision passing game to drive up field and around the Raiders defense.

The Bucs scored quickly in the 13th minute as Andrez Luna-Lima got the first one past Raiders keeper Abraham Leon. Thirty seconds later Peterson Mondelus doubled Milford’s lead.

Using their short quick passes and sound technical skills Milford kept the ball in Woodbridge’s defensive end. At the end of the game Milford had 21 shots on goal to Woodbridge’s 3.

Before the half time whistle the Bucs would again double their lead. In the 20th minute Andrez Luna-Lima scored his second goal and in the 36th minute Corwin Dodd scored to put the Bucs ahead 4-0.

Not long after the restart Milford found another goal as Phillip Berry stroke one past Leon, to put the Bucs ahead 5-0. With three minutes to go before full time, first choice keeper, Brent McFarland, who was in at striker added another goal to a seal a 6-0 victory for the Bucs.

“It’s a great end to the season.” Head coach Ken Outten said. “Everyone is very proud of what we’ve done, and I am very proud of them as well.”
