A Thank You: Milford LIVE Celebrates One Year

As we reach the 12-month mark of this venture, we’re stopping to reflect on our first year in business, and the amazing manner in which we’ve been welcomed with open arms by our hometown.

What started out as an idea – that local news no longer needed to be printed on paper – turned into so much more over the last year as thousands of Milfordians accounted for hundreds of thousands of MilfordLIVE.com pageviews, many tens of thousands of individual downloads of the Milford Review, over 1,600 followers on social media, and countless wonderful experiences along the way.

Our goal from the beginning was to create a hub where Milfordians could get their news and information from a locally-owned company run by people who grew up right here. And the evidence exists that we’re achieving that goal. From the thousands who view our photo slideshows, to the up-to-the-moment coverage of Hurricane Irene on the website and Facebook, to the many kind and generous words of encouragement we’ve received along the way, we are filled with an immense pride and a grateful humility that we are fortunate enough to be a trusted source bringing together the City of Milford, Delaware.

And we’re just getting started. We have many surprises in store for the next 12 months to add to our consistent commitment to providing a first-class, Milford-focused Internet hub.

In order to achieve our goals of serving the Milford community in the best way possible, we need to know what your thoughts are. So we put together an anonymous survey that we hope you’ll take the time to fill out, so that we can know exactly what’s on your mind, what you like about our service, and what we can do better.

Here’s to another year of serving the greatest community of neighbors in the world!

Thanks also to everyone who came out to support our First Anniversary Party at Abbott’s Grill, including a major thanks to our great sponsors who contributed door prizes at the event: Lindel Computers & Technology, LeLoLi Cafe and Espresso Bar, Fur-Baby Boutique, Extreme Total Fitness, State Farm, Downtown Milford, Inc., Abbott’s Grill & Bald Jason’s Pub, Duck In Car Wash.
