Principals Recognition Month

Governor Jack Markell and Lt. Governor Matt Denn signed a proclamation on October 26, 2011 declaring October 2011 as Principals Recognition Month.  In part, the Statement reads, “the principal is the instructional leader who sets the standard of excellence for all students and teachers to follow.”  The Governor and Lt. Governor urge all Delawareans to support the efforts of school principals in their communities.  Attending the ceremony with the Governor were: Sylvia Henderson, National Distinguished Elementary Principal of the Year, Lulu M. Ross Elementary School in Milford; Jim Comegys, Secondary Principal of the Year, Middletown High School; Chris Beck, Assistant Secondary Principal of the Year, Middletown High School; and G. Scott Reihm, Executive Director, Delaware Association of School Administrators.
