Lighthouse Christian Center Celebrates 40 years

More than 200 people came to the Dover Sheraton Hotel November 6th to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Milford. Begun in 1971 as a small ministry meeting in a building owned by a local non-profit group, the Lighthouse Christian Center currently has its own church building along the Milford-Harrington Highway. Having grown to a congregation of more than 500 members, the church is currently planning construction of a new facility near Delaware 1, north of the city. State Reps. Jack Peterman (R-Milford) and Harvey Kenton (R-Milford) presented Pastor Royce Andrus with a House of Representatives’ Tribute at the occasion, praising the strong commitment and hard work that has led the continued growth of the organization.
