People’s Place Choral Breakfast Kicks Off People’s Day

Holiday music can be enjoyed from groups like the Milford High School Chorus at this year's People's Place Choral Breakfast. .

The People’s Place 12th annual Choral Breakfast will kick off People’s Day on Saturday, December 3 from 8am to 11am. Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children 3-12 and children under 3 are free. For the entertainment only, admission is $3. The all-you-can-eat breakfast at the Milford Senior Center will host musical performances, holiday vendors, a poinsettia sale and a special visit from Santa from 9am to 10 am.
People’s Day is an annual event held throughout downtown Milford, Delaware to celebrate services to people in Milford. A variety of events and entertainment have been planned for 2011 People’s Day on Saturday, December 3.

Events include a Christmas Tree Extravaganza, Holiday Bazaar and Book Sale at the Milford Public Library; a Santa Shop, Poinsettia Sale, Holiday Crafts Kids Can Make and Refreshments Sale at the Boys and Girls Club;Teddy Bear Christmas Exhibit and other information and festive exhibits at the Milford Museum;  performances of “Humbug” at the Riverfront Theater all weekend (call 422-0220 for tickets).; performances of “The Nutcracker” by the Diamond Dance Co. at the Milford High School on Saturday and Sunday (call 943-7339 for tickets); and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Downtown Santa’s House from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.  Milford’s downtown holiday lights can be enjoyed throughout the weekend.

This wonderful community event is planned for you and your family.  This is the 12th year the People’s Day event has taken place on the first Saturday of December.  Start your holiday season by attending some or all of the events held around Milford.  For more information or to purchase Choral Breakfast tickets, call Claudia at 422-8033, ext. 198.
