Bayhealth Medical Center announced New Year’s Day that the first Delaware baby of 2012 was born at Milford Memorial Hosptial at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2012.

Austin Dean Scarborough was welcomed by parents Kelly and Dean Scarborough. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 13 3/4 ounces, and was 21 inches long. Austin was delivered by obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Miaohou Xu.  The family received several gift baskets as well as an infant car seat from Bayhealth Medical Center.
