The Milford Swim Team returned to their home pool today at the Milford Boys and Girls Club after a short hiatus during the month of January. According to officials at the Boys and Girls Club the pool was closed on Thursday, December 29 after Aquatics Director Sarah Ziccarelli discovered the pump not running properly.

After an inspection of the pump, it was determined that the impeller was broken and that this damage possibly led to the malfunction of the pool’s pump. Due to the unique nature of the malfunctioning part, the Boys and Girls Club had to order the piece directly from the manufacturer. On Wednesday, January 18 the motor and impeller were received and installed. Shortly after installation the water chemistry was balanced and on Monday, January 23 the pool was open to the public and the Milford Swim Team once again.

The Bucs Swim Team is excited to be back home and will host two meets this week at the Milford Boys and Girls Club. On Tuesday, January 24 the Bucs will face off against St. Marks High School and on Thursday, January 26 the Bucs will compete against Sussex Tech. Both meets will begin at 3:30pm.
