Milford graduate Lauren Hitchens earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in September of last year and has joined Atlantic Chiropractic Associations in Milford as their newest health provider. Hitchens graduated from Milford High School in 2002 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Phycology in 2006 from West Virginia University.
During her undergraduate studies Lauren knew that she wanted to be a part of the medical field but did not want a career that involved prescribing medication or performing surgery. A chiropractic patient herself since the age of 13, Hitchens decided to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic.
“The chiropractic practice is very integrated with the rest of the medical community,” commented Dr. Hitchens. “I really enjoy being interactive with my patients every day and seeing them improve.”
The chiropractic practice focuses on improving overall wellness by reducing the risk of disease or pain through chiropractic care, corrective exercises, lifestyle advice, massage therapy and nutritional counseling. Dr. Hitchens dedicates herself to working one-on-one with her patients through preventative practices and education.
“The community has been so welcoming,” commented Dr. Hitchens. “Being a new, young professional woman I did not know exactly what to expect but everyone has been so supportive.”
Atlantic Chiropractic Associations is located at 375 Mullet Run Street in Milford Delaware and offers patient hours Monday through Saturday. They are currently accepting new patients in both their Milford and Georgetown locations.
