Senator Carper Visits Milford

United States Senator Tom Carper made a visit to Milford on Friday,January 27 to visit the Milford Senior Center and U.S. Cold Storage Company. While at the Senior Center, Senator Carper had lunch with the seniors and spoke to the crowd about Health Care Reform highlighting prevention services and access to medicare. During his visit to U.S. Cold Storage Company he discussed plant operations and learned about their environmental sustainability goal.

“This is a good way for me to get input about what we could be doing better,” stated Senator Carper when asked about his visit to Milford. “We have individuals calling our offices every day with problems, from losing their job to access to healthcare, and we want to make sure that we help them.”
