State Rep. Jack Peterman (R-Milford) recently presented David Olmstead with a State House of Representatives’ Tribute marking his recognition as an Eagle Scout. To earn the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America a candidate must be active in his troop; demonstrate he lives by the principles of the Scout Oath; and earn a total of 21 merit badges including 12 in specific disciplines. Since the rank was first established more than 100 years ago, only 2.25 percent of scouts have achieved it. The House Tribute presentation was made during the Eagle Scout Court of Honor held at the Wyoming United Methodist Church.
