Westside Restaurant Celebrates 15 Years

Westside Restaurant is celebrating 15 years in business, serving the Milford community breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Owner Pete Kalesis has enjoyed much success since opening his doors on 101 Maple Avenue in 1997. Over the past two decades Westside Restaurant has seen several changes to the building and menu but Pete’s ability to give the customers what they want has never changed.

“We listen to what the customers have to say about what they like and what they do not like so we can improve,” commented Mr. Kalesis when asked how he has remained a staple in Milford for 15 years. “You learn from your mistakes and try new things. If it is not right for the area the people will let you know.”

Westside Restaurant focuses on family-style, homemade cooking and serves several different styles of food from Traditional American to Greek and Mediterranean. They have recently expanded their indoor seating to accommodate up to 120 people and will reopen their outside dining area once Spring returns.

Originally from Greece, Pete moved to New Jersey at the age of 21 and moved to the Milford area in the ‘90s to be closer to family. Pete has embraced Milford as his home and looks forward to many more years of serving his community at Westside Restaurant.

“I really enjoy living and working in Milford”, commented Pete. “The town can be compared to a neighborhood where everyone knows everyone.”

Westside Restaurant, located at 101 Maple Avenue, is open 7 days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their hours are Monday- Saturday 7am-8pm and Sunday 7am-3pm. For more information on Westside Restaurant or to see their daily specials visit their Facebook page or call 302-424-4888.
