March Chamber Expo Vendors are Ready

By CCGM Executive Director, Jo Schmeiser

The 2nd Annual After Hours Business Expo/Mixer is set for Thursday March 29th at the Milford Senior Center from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event is free to attend, and is a great place to learn about the business community and what goods and services are available in the greater Milford area. Plus, each business will be giving a door prize away, and you don’t have to be present to win, so you can stay for just a little bit, or for the whole two hours.

When the application for vendors was emailed to chamber members it didn’t take long for the twenty-five vendor space limit to fill-up, as members know this is a great opportunity to let people know what their company offers, as well as a great place to meet people. The vendors are hoping that not only chamber members come to the Expo, but Milford residents who may be new to the area or just not familiar with the variety of businesses and services in the community take the time to stop by.

The following businesses are signed up and ready to go: Scentsy, Larson’s Mower Repair, Kent-Sussex Industries, Tunnel & Raysor Atty., Organo Gold, Bill Rust Plumbing, Dorey Insurance & Financial Services, Super Eagle Supply, The Heritage at Milford, Reading Assist Inst., CNC Solar, PNC Bank, TLM Business Services, Guided Metamorphosis, Delaware 302, Delaware Open MRI, The Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club, Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge, The Blood Bank of Delmarva, Delaware SHRM, Undercom, The Milford Senior Center, Expo Coordinators- First Class Properties and the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford.

I am sure there are several businesses listed that you don’t know what they do or what services they offer, as I had no idea until they joined the chamber, so the Expo is a fantastic venue to learn about those businesses. The Expo is also a great place to learn about services that are new to businesses that have been around for a while. I learn new things everyday about companies that have been members for many years, as they make changes, improvements and updates to keep up with the current economic, demographic and technical trends.

In addition to the twenty-plus businesses acting as vendors, Troops Catering will be offering food and beverages to attendees and the Milford Senior Center Bar will be open.
Remember this event is FREE to attend and is a great place to learn about the businesses and organizations that serve the community you live and work in.
