Milford Pop Warner Shines On The Field And In The Classroom

Pop Warner Football recently announced its’ 2012 All American Scholar teams, and Milford was well-represented by placing 23 participants on the First, Second, and Honorable Mention teams. Pop Warner is the only National youth organization that requires and academic standard to be eligible to participate.

This years award winners are:

First Team: 5th Grade: Keegan Andersen, Mary Torbert, 7th Grade: Tripp Kimmel

Second Team: 5th Grade: Dalton Milburn, Trevor Mitchell, Faith Hurd, 6th Grade: Zachary Flack, Dayton Meding, Drew Morris, Madison Berry, Kaitlyn Davies, Brookelynn Jester, Kendra Kimmey, Zoe Mast, Senior Scholar (8th Grade and above) Phil Herber, Daniel Venable

Honorable Mention: 5th Grade: Daniel Alverez, Michael Green, Gavin Legg, Haley Pagden,

Senior Scholars: Cody Hudson, Silas Wheedleton, Goss Ferneyhough.

The awards banquet for the All American Scholars will be held in Orlando, Florida at the Walt Disney World Yacht and Beach Club, May 25th through the 27th. For more information, visit www.PopWarner.com.

Note: The First Team Award consists of the top 40 participants for each grade level….. in the Country. Over 425,000 participants from ages 5-16 play football, cheer, or dance in Pop Warner organizations. Over 9,200 applications were turned in for All –American consideration.
