Release from DELDOT

The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) advises motorists that the northbound left lane will be closed on Route 1 between Milford Neck Road and Route 12/Frederica Road. The work is scheduled to occur at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., on Wednesday, March 14, pending weather.

On Thursday, March 15 beginning at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., the southbound right lane will be closed on Route 1 before the Route 1 North Frederica Overpass.

DelDOT’s Transportation Management Center (TMC) utilizes a number of devices to track storms, including weather radar, pavement sensors, and forecasting services. The weather sensors will provide data on air and subsurface temperatures, wind speed and direction, precipitation type and intensity, visibility, relative humidity and barometric pressure. These components enable DelDOT to quickly mobilize our employees and equipment and get a head start on approaching storms.
