Visit the Milford Public Library located at 11 S.E. Front St., overlooking Library Square Park. The library is open Monday through Friday, 9 am-8 p.m. and Saturday, 9 am – 2 pm. You can access the Delaware Library Catalog to reserve or renew materials, access your library card account, or just take a leisurely look at what is available at your Delaware libraries. It’s National Library Week and Spring Break! If you’re looking for something to do during your break, stop by the library. There’s something going on every day, Monday, April 8 – Friday April 13. Monday evening we’re having a Wii tournament. Test your skills in bowling or tennis, or maybe even fishing. Row, Row, Row your boat to Story Hour on Tuesday. Bring your little brother or sister to Toddler Time on Thursday or read with us at 4:00p.m. as we celebrate D.E.A.R. Drop Everything And Read day. Join us for a movie on the BIG screen; Wednesday is Homeward Bound and Berenstain Bears: Springtime Surprise will be shown on Friday. Friday evening is Family Game Night at 6:00p.m. Join us for a night of family fun playing board games.

BARK FOR BOOKS! The library is beginning a new program for beginning and struggling readers. Registered participants will practice reading with a therapy dog. The charismatic canines help create a non-threatening, non-judgmental, stress-free environment for students of all ages. Students will read one – on – one to the dog. The program will be held every Wednesday afternoon from 4 – 5p.m. beginning April 18. Call the library for more information or to register.

The Easter Bunny is not the only one hopping with Easter excitement! The Milford Public Library and Dolce are excited about their Easter Coloring Contest. Stop by the library or Dolce to pick-up your Easter coloring page; color it; and return to the library or Dolce by April 4. You could win a $10 gift certificate from Dolce or other Easter surprises.

The Bookworms are on the move! They’re going to the fair! Read Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White and join us at the county fair on Monday, April 2, at 6:30p.m. (Meeting on March 26 cancelled.) Create a project for the fair, enter the “Stuffed Pet Show” and join the fun! The next meeting of the Bookworms will be on Monday, April 30, to discuss Shiloh by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. The YR Bookworms will meet on 4/26 to discuss The Dog Who Belonged to No One by Amy Hest.

Spring Family Night is April 27, at 6:30p.m. Let it Grow! Celebrate spring and Arbor Day and let it grow! We will plant some seeds and see how they grow! Learn about the importance of trees and see Miss Robin’s really cool “tree vest”.

Join us for Story Hour (Ages 3-6) every Tuesday at 10:30a.m. or 4:00p.m. Bring along your Easter basket for our egg hunt on April 3. You’ll need your boat to float on 4/10. We’re having a “stuffed pet show” on 4/17. Don’t forget your favorite stuffed pet.

Toddle on over to Toddler Time (ages 1 & 2) every Thursday morning at 10:30a.m. Join us for mommy and me time with stories, rhymes and songs. Float your Boat on 4/12. It’s a great way to make new friends! Bring your stuffed pets with you on 4/19 for pet day.
