WSFS Bank Robber In Custody

On Monday,April 2 the Milford Police detectives brought a bank robbery investigation to a close with an arrest. A joint investigation between Delaware State Police, Milford Police, Laurel Police, Carney’s Point Police of New Jersey and Easton Police Department of Maryland resulted in the arrest and extradition of Bruce L. Brummell, 40yo of Easton, Maryland. Brummell was apprehended on 3/28/12 by the Easton Police Department with the assistance of the Delaware State Police.

Brummell was charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony and Aggravated Menacing by the Milford Police Criminal Division stemming from the armed robbery of the WSFS Bank on 3/14/12. Brummell was committed to SCI in default of $105,000.00 secured bond. Brummell was also charged by Delaware State Police and Laurel Police stemming from two additional bank robberies he committed in February 2012. Brummell committed a total of 5 bank robberies in both Delaware and New Jersey during the months of February and March of 2012.
