A who’s-who of Delaware’s Twitter-verse, as well as local and regional media, are invited to celebrate the Delaware Tourism Office’s relaunched Delaware Wine and Ale Trail at Tweet the Trail, a social media bash to be held Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Abbott’s Grill, 249 NE Front St., Milford.

The enhanced Delaware Wine and Ale Trail will feature a passport system much like the popular Delaware History Trail and has been fitted with signage to designate each stop as part of the trail. Visitors who hit eight of the 12 sites on the trail will receive their choice of a Delaware Wine and Ale Trail wine glass or beer mug.

Those who attend the May 23 event, which runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will receive a ticket to enter a raffle for one of many prizes, including a wine opener, a wine chiller and a home brewing kit.

During the event, participants will mingle, network and use the hashtag #tweetthetrail to tweet about the Delaware Wine and Ale Trail and the breweries and wineries that make the First State taste so good.
