Large Fight At Circles Restaurant Leads To Arrests

On 05-26-12 officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol and K-9 Divisions responded to the Circles Restaurant Bar and Grill for a large fight. Investigation revealed approximately 100 patrons became disorderly, several of which became engaged in a physical altercation. Milford Police arrested Rashad V. Waples (25 of Ellendale), Darnell D. Waples (28 of Lincoln), Christopher L. Purnell (22 of Milford), and Keandre D. Griffin (26 of Dover).

Mr. Waples has been charged with Riot, Resisting Arrest, Offensive Touching of a Law Enforcement Officer, Assault 2nd degree, and Disorderly Conduct. Rashad Waples was arraigned at JP Court #7 in Dover, where bail was set $1600.00 secured. Rashad Waples was released after posting bail. Darnell D. Waples was charged with Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct and released after being issued a Criminal Summons. Christopher Purnell was charged with Disorderly Conduct and released after being issued a Criminal Summons. Keandre Griffin was charged with Disorderly Conduct and also released after being issued a Criminal Summons. Rashad Waples is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on June 1st for a Preliminary Hearing. The other three are scheduled to appear at JP Court #6 in Harrington in June for an arraignments.
