Burglary of Accident Victim’s Home

Milford Police Department

On June 1, 2012, Milford Police Arrested Robbin D. Sapp, aged 55 years of 5 Linstone Lane Apt 424 Milford on Charges of Burlgary 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief, and possession of Burglary tools. An investigation by the Milford Police found video evidence from surveillance cameras showing that as soon as the Victim of the fatal Motor Vehicle Accident at US 113, and Delaware Route 14 on Thursday May 31, 2012 left her residence, Ms. Sapp exited her apartment with a large screw driver and began attempting to pry open the victim’s door.

Shortly afterward, she returned to her apartment and obtained a claw hammer and re-attempted to force open the victim’s apartment door, breaking the screw driver off in the lock mechanism. Later that same morning, Ms. Sapp convinced an apartment maintenance man to allow her entry into the Victim’s apartment to supposedly retrieve an item that was lost after sending the victim to the store on behalf of Ms. Sapp. After being in the apartment for several minutes, the Maintenance Man became suspicious and asked Sapp to leave the residence. At the time of this incident, there is no evidence to support that the Maintenance Man nor the suspect were aware that the victim had been struck and killed in a pedestrian collision just one block away.

Ms. Sapp was arrested at the Milford Police Department and charged with the above listed charges. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released on $6,500 unsecured bond pending a preliminary hearing in the Court of Common Pleas in Kent County
