Milford Police Department

On 7/1/12 at approx. 7:45 pm, the Milford Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of SE Front St after receiving a report of an assault. Police took a 46yo Milford man into custody after making contact with him in front of the residence and observing that he was still armed with the knife that was used in the assault. He was later identified as Samuel T. Gonzalez.

Investigation revealed that the 23yo male victim and his 3yo child, had arrived at their residence and were confronted outside the residence by Gonzalez. Gonzalez and the 23yo male victim got into a verbal dispute over money. Gonzalez then brandished a knife and threatened to kill the 23yo male victim while swinging the knife toward the victim. Gonzalez stabbed the victim in the abdomen, Gonzalez then went through the victim’s pockets removed an undisclosed amount of  money while holding the knife in the victim’s abdomen still.

The 23yo victim received medical treatment for his injuries. He was treated & later released. The 3yo child was not injured. Gonzalez was charged with Robbery 1st, Assault 2nd Degree, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Menacing, Terroristic Threatening and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Gonzalez was arraigned through JP3 and was committed to SCI in default of $22,000 secured bond.
