Delaware State Police Troop 3 Detectives have charged two Milford men in connection with two residential burglaries where firearms were stolen last week.

Delaware State police Detectives have charged Ryan A. Doneker-23 and Gary P. Gray-24, both of Milford, DE for a total of 53 charges related to Burglary Second Degree, Theft of Firearms, and Possession of Burglar Tools.

The arrest of Doneker and Gray was the result of an investigation into residential burglaries that occurred last week in Milford and Houston. According to police, the pair forcibly entered unoccupied residences through doors and windows removing jewelry, various electronics, and various firearms including shotguns.

Through further investigation, Detectives were able to connect Doneker to the burglaries. On Friday, August 10, 2012, detectives received information that Doneker was staying in room #101 at the Super 8 Motel in the 700 block of Bay Road, Milford, DE.

The investigation culminated in the execution of a search warrant on room #101. Police state that Doneker attempted to flee on foot as Troopers arrived at the motel room, but was taken into custody after a short foot chase in which a Trooper had to deploy a Taser device to subdue him.

Gary P. Gray, who was also located in the room, was taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.  According to police, a search of the room located property and evidence linking both Doneker and Gray to the burglaries.

Doneker was charged with the above crimes and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $76,700 Secured Bond. Gray was charged with the above crimes and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $68,600 Secured Bond
