Jeff Huber, the store director of the new Redner’s Warehouse Markets’ location south of Milford, speaks with State Reps. Harvey Kenton, Dave Wilson and Jack Peterman minutes after the store officially opened its doors to the public on August 15th.

On Tuesday, August 14 Redner’s Warehouse Market held an open house one day prior to their Grand Opening of their newest Delaware location at 78253 Lexus Drive in the Cypress Hall Shopping Center off of Route 113 in Milford. Redner’s store director Jeff Huber, along with corporate staff and directors, was on-hand to welcome the community to its new grocery store with sampling stations located around the facility.

The new store, which is open 24 hours a day, will be a full service grocery store offering services including an in-store bakery, full service deli, fresh produce and fresh meat and seafood departments, along with frozen, dairy, health and beauty aids, non-foods and grocery departments. Approximately 49,000 square feet in size, the Milford Redner’s can employ 150 people in both full and part-time positions at full capacity.

“Redner’s is all about freshness, variety and providing full service shopping,” commented Chris Kenny, Grocery Manager at the Milford location.

Adding another level to providing customer service, Redner’s Customers will be able to take a copy of Redner’s HealthCents newsletter and speak with Corporate Dietitian, Meredith Mensinger, about making healthy, nutritious decisions when shopping for food.

At the Milford location customers can also participate in Redner’s Pump Perks fuel discount program that will allow them to save on fuel purchases at the local Sunoco station. For every $100 spent on groceries, customers are able to earn a 10¢ discount per gallon, which can be used during a future fuel purchase.

“We would like to be a friendly alternative to the Milford community and look to offer unique services and the lowest prices possible every day,” commented Milford Store Director Jeff Huber.

Many Milford residents are excited to see a completive player in the supermarket industry come to town after several other large companies have left the area over the past few years.

“So far so good,” commented Milford resident Corrine Goodman, as she toured the new facility during the open house on Tuesday. “They have local produce and the prices look great. It will be convenient for those of us living in the South East part of Milford to shop here.”

Redner’s Markets, Inc. is an employee owned company, currently operating 40 Warehouse Markets and 16 Quick Shoppes throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. According to the Milford Store Manager Jeff Huber, Redner’s is looking to further expand in Delaware possibly opening 4 more stores in the future.

“Even in bad economic times we are growing,” commented Mr. Huber. “What makes us unique is our employee owned stores that support a variety of local partnerships and enrichment programs.”
