The long lazy summer days are behind us and Ma Nature is about dazzle with her annual spectacular art show featuring fall colors. During the month of September Milford has lots of art to enjoy –  listen to the music, see the art and get involved.

Angelucci Fine Woodworking & Stained Glass Studio & Artist Gallery features  art demonstrations – stop by to watch a series of artist/artisans demonstrate how they create their magic on Saturdays 10:00 am – noon at  4 Park Avenue. Call (302) 422-4533

Anne Jenkins Art Gallery presents “The Vukuzakhe Project” with an opening reception on Friday, September 21 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. This is a collaboration art project with an AIDS Orphans Support Group in South Africa featuring a limited series of large paintings and fabric landscapes. Hidden Gem Boutique has opened on SW Front Street and will be featuring the works of local artists – stop by and welcome them to the neighbourhood! Hours Tuesday-Friday 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Milford Community Band calendar includes the Concert Band performing on Saturday, September 8, at 9:30 a.m. at the River Walk Freedom Festival. The band will be at the Milford Library amphitheater. Then on Thursday, September 13 at 6:30 p.m. they will perform a concert at Heritage of Milford, 500 S. DuPopnt Blvd.  or call Joe Lear at (302) 422-6304 for more info.

Milford Art Stroll  a self-guided studio & art tour. Check out the website to plan a visit – there’s a new map to print out and follow a route of your choice. It’s exciting as more arts related business open or are due to open soon. Enjoy the music, the dance, the theatre, the sculptures, pottery, paintings and the yummy culinary arts right here in your hometown.

Mispillion Art League Gallery (MAL) presents “Here’s To Howard Pyle!” a members show  with a reception on Friday, September 7 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Free and open to the public, light refreshments will be served.  Third Thursday at MAL on September 20 at 6:30-8:00 p.m. is a musical presentation by the Bowman-Braddock Duo.
