Circle of Light Thanks Community

Circle of Light, Inc.

At this special time of year as we give thanks for all our blessings it seems fitting to be publish a picture of “Thank You Cards” received by Circle of Light, Inc. These cards were handmade by the teen girls of People’s Place Foster Teen Program. They were given to Circle of Light, Inc. as the girl’s way of saying they deeply appreciate that Circle of Light, Inc. has taken these girls to be their friends who care. Members of local churches will be helping Circle of Light, Inc. with a special Christmas Gift collection.

Circle of Light, Inc. is the resource center for homeless women and children in the Milford area. Through grants received from The Women’s Fund, Lions Club and other grants Circle of Light, Inc. continues to assist the homeless children in the Milford School District as well as the transition women and children from the “Safe Program” of People’s Place.

Over the past four months a fundraising effort for Circle of Light, Inc. was the moving Raffle Quilt. This quilt was handmade by a member of Quilter’s For Comfort – an online quilting group with members from across the country. The raffle quilt visited 4 community Churches – Christ Episcopal Church, Church of the Nazarene, Reformation Lutheran Church and the Presbyterian Church netting the organization approximately $300 in proceeds. Pictured is the winner of the raffle Debbie Brooks from Church of the Nazarene who is being presented the quilt by Program Coordinator of Circle of Light, Inc., Deacon Dorothy Vuono.

Thanks to all who supported this raffle and thanks to the teens who took time from their busy schedules to share their appreciation. With grateful thanks donations may do so to: Circle of Light, Inc., PO Box 35, Milford, DE 19963
